As a Part-Time Teacher Recruiter, you’ll help identify, engage, screen, and support prospective teachers through the recruitment journey. Your firsthand experience as an EDGE teacher gives candidates an authentic perspective and helps us recognize people who can thrive in our teaching community.
This is a supplementary opportunity designed specifically for existing EDGE teachers. Your primary teaching account and teaching commitments remain your priority.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and attract qualified teacher candidates through referrals, social media, teaching communities, and other channels.
- Share recruitment opportunities and engage potential candidates in a friendly, professional way.
- Conduct initial candidate screening and interviews using established recruitment criteria.
- Assess candidates’ communication, teaching suitability, and overall fit for EDGE.
- Support skills assessments and/or demo lesson evaluations when required.
- Explain the recruitment process, expectations, policies, and engagement terms clearly to candidates.
- Keep candidates informed and engaged throughout the recruitment process.
- Support candidates with next steps during onboarding and pre-service activities.
- Share candidate feedback and relevant information with the Recruitment team.
- Contribute ideas and feedback that can improve candidate engagement and recruitment outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- You are an existing EDGE teacher in good standing.
- You understand the EDGE teaching experience and can speak authentically about it.
- You communicate confidently and professionally in English.
- You enjoy talking to people, building rapport, and helping others succeed.
- You are proactive, reliable, responsive, and comfortable following up with candidates.
- You have good judgment when assessing candidate suitability.
- You are comfortable using online communication and recruitment tools.
- Recruitment, interviewing, mentoring, or teacher-support experience is an advantage.
Important: This Is a Supplementary Role
Your teaching role remains your primary commitment.
- Your primary EDGE teaching account must remain active.
- You must continue to meet your existing teaching commitments.
- This role must not reduce your teaching capacity or negatively affect your primary teaching account.
- Recruitment work will be performed within agreed supplementary hours.
- Participation is subject to HR and Recruitment approval.
